Scheming and plotting per usual, Dorothy had attempted to drive a wedge in Kevin’s marriage to Lily, so that he would have to hand over his riches and ensure Dorothy’s lifelong comfort. Reeling from his difficulties at home, Kevin learned that he’d been beckoned by Wayne, Ford, and Harley Shepard, who supposedly just missed his company but who surely have a new assignment for him. Kevin looked at the buildings around him and casually mentioned one of the landmarks that he saw, as Dalton confirmed his location before they both hung up.
Two hours later, the two of them arrived at the Healing Arts School. By now, it was already pretty late, and if Harley Shepard and Wayne Ford were ordinary old men, they might have already been fast asleep by this time of the night. Fortunately, with their power base, even if they didn’t eat or drink for three days and three nights, it wouldn’t be a problem.
